The details.

The ordinance text posted for the hearing requires hosts to register with the Town and to show the unit is their primary residence, allows one registered unit per host, and limits a registration to 90 rental days a year, of which no more than 30 may be rentals where the host is absent or more than two bedrooms are rented. It sets a $1,000 fine per occurrence for operating without registration or in violation, and a $500 civil penalty for advertising an unregistered homestay.
