VCOM expansion at 1701 Kraft Drive
The Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine (VCOM) will convert an existing office building at 1701 Kraft Drive, in the Corporate Research Center area, for medical education and add a 16,200 square foot expansion. Town Council approved the conditional use permit 7-0 on March 10, 2026.

The details.
The permit (CUP-25-7) allows an Educational Facilities, College and University use in the Research and Development district. Uses include lecture halls, laboratories, offices and classrooms. Staff conditions include a walking path connecting the site to the VUE Apartments and a sign permit before new signs go up, and the applicant said a 10-foot multi-use trail will be added. Council allowed a Type B buffer yard instead of Type C next to the VUE Apartments, which sit about 20 feet higher. The Planning Commission recommended approval 6-0 on February 3, 2026.
