History

A small, recent neighborhood off Prices Fork Road, between two National Register log houses.
Kipps Farm is a small, recent neighborhood of houses on Scenic Ridge Circle, west of Blacksburg toward Prices Fork. It shares its name with one of the area's oldest houses.
The Linkous-Kipps House, about a third of a mile east, is a two-story, L-shaped log house with a hall-parlor plan. Its oldest section dates to the early 19th century, and it was improved significantly in the early 1850s, which shows how houses of its kind were modified as their uses changed. It was listed on the National Register in 1989.
Even closer, about 800 feet southwest, stands the Adam Wall House, a two-story, five-bay log house of about 1850, sheathed in weatherboard, with brick end chimneys, a two-story frame ell and a log smokehouse. It too is on the National Register. The Prices Fork area just to the west was settled by German families from Pennsylvania before 1745.
